Sustainability leadership
To become a leader in environmentally responsible mining, reducing carbon footprints and prioritising eco-friendly practices.
LBW Minerals is a South African mining and natural resources company working the granite and dimension-stone deposits of the Bushveld Complex — and building from that base toward a diversified minerals group.
01 — Overview
LBW Minerals (Pty) Ltd is a South African mining and natural resources company based in the Brits / Sonop area of the North West Province, operating within the broader Bushveld Complex mining region.
The company has established its operations around granite and dimension-stone mining, supplying high-quality granite products to local and international markets. Activities extend across quarrying, raw granite block production, cut-to-size granite, tombstones and related stone products.
LBW Minerals is positioned for its next stage of growth through a strategy focused on resource diversification, exploration, value addition, strategic partnerships and expansion into additional mineral commodities. The long-term objective is to develop from a granite-focused operation into a diversified South African mining and mineral resources group, capable of participating in multiple mineral value chains.
Bench development and controlled extraction of dimension-stone blocks.
Squared block production graded and prepared for local and export buyers.
Value-added sawing and finishing to client specification.
Tombstones and related stone products manufactured from own material.
02 — Mission
We are committed to responsible mining practices that minimise environmental impact, promote efficient resource utilisation, and ensure sustainable development for future generations through advanced technologies and strict environmental policies.
We contribute to local and global economies by providing employment opportunities, fostering community development and enhancing infrastructure, while ensuring fair wages and ethical labour practices.
We integrate current technologies, data-driven strategies and automation to improve safety, efficiency and productivity — a smarter and more effective mining process.
03 — Vision
Four commitments that set the direction for the next decade of the business.
/ 01
To become a leader in environmentally responsible mining, reducing carbon footprints and prioritising eco-friendly practices.
/ 02
To enhance local economies by creating jobs, investing in education and supporting regional development initiatives.
/ 03
To continuously innovate by implementing automation, artificial intelligence and digital solutions for efficiency and safety.
/ 04
To broaden our reach by entering new markets and strengthening partnerships worldwide for sustainable growth.
04 — Operations
Stage 01
Geological studies, remote sensing and sampling to identify potential mining sites and assess resource viability.
Stage 02
Controlled extraction of block and ore, refined on site into usable, saleable material.
Stage 03
Policies to reduce waste, reclaim land and ensure compliance with environmental regulation.
Stage 04
Partnering with local communities to create economic opportunity, support education and enhance infrastructure.
05 — Capabilities
Granite and dimension stone within the Bushveld Complex, with a declared exploration interest in a wider commodity set. Every expansion target is stated as a target — not as a reserve — until due diligence says otherwise.
Geologists, engineers and miners who drive efficiency, safety and innovation, and who keep the operation both sustainable and productive.
Modern machinery and progressive automation for extraction efficiency, reduced environmental impact and improved worker safety across all operations.
06 — Growth pipeline
LBW Minerals is building on an established foundation in granite mining and value-added stone manufacturing while preparing for its next phase of growth.

Declared expansion targets
Expansion targets are opportunities the company is pursuing — not declared reserves or resources. Each is subject to appropriate geological, technical, legal, environmental and commercial due diligence before it is taken further.
07 — Market
Demand for minerals and metals is rising with industrialisation, urbanisation and the shift toward renewable energy.
The automotive, electronics and construction industries rely heavily on mined resources to meet production needs. As economies grow and technology advances, mining remains a critical industry — ensuring the continuous supply of raw materials that sustain global development. LBW Minerals supplies both local and international buyers, and is structured to grow that footprint.
Cladding, flooring, kerbing and structural stone.
Cut-to-size worktops, vanities and feature surfaces.
Tombstones and monumental stone, finished to order.
08 — Innovation
Robotics, artificial intelligence and automated machinery to enhance safety, optimise operations and increase production efficiency.
Water recycling, waste management and energy-efficient techniques that reduce environmental impact across the operation.
Real-time data tracking and predictive maintenance to keep operations efficient, workers safer and equipment failures rare.
09 — Community
LBW Minerals recognises that mining should create meaningful economic opportunity in host communities. The company's approach is founded on the principle that mining development should create value for shareholders, employees, communities and other stakeholders.
